Malik Alexander Thrower Scholarship Fund
Malik Alexander Thrower was born prematurely on April 2, 1987, entering the world with a fighting spirit. Despite his strength, the medical technology available at the time was not advanced enough to fully address the complications associated with his premature birth. As a result, Malik was unable to overcome the medical challenges he faced.
Though his time was brief, Malik's life left an indelible mark, serving as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of continued advancements in healthcare. His legacy lives on through the love and memories of those who cherish him.

The Malik Alexander Scholarship Fund is committed to supporting high school graduates from rural communities who are pursuing college degrees in healthcare-related fields.
Eligibility
High School Senior
Applicants must be a high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrates financial need.
Residing in a rural SC
Applicants must reside in a rural community of SC, with the residential address provided on the application matching the address listed on their school records.
Healthcare Major
Applicants must be enrolled in a two- or four-year college pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field.
